FRANCE, Romantic period, circa 1840-1850 Horse-drawn blind or curtain box in veined brown wood veneer with brass fillets. Brass crank handle on the right and disengagement knob. Printed silk blind, enhanced in color, featuring a deer-hunting scene in 17th-century clothing. On the back, store label "HUE, 370 rue St Honoré près pl. Vendôme". Green braid, posterior (?) (to be reattached). Length. Box: 58 cm - Blind: 57.5 x 47.5 cm. As is. Scratches; wear, scratches and small tears to the silk. Unwound: blocked
