1/ Service du roi Louis-Philippe au château des Tuileries.

Manufacture royale de Sèvres, 1833.
Blue stamp with star dated (18)33; gilder's mark Moyez.
Diameter: 24.2 cm.
Provenance:
This famous but paradoxically little-known service was originally commissioned by order of Napoleon I for the "Service des Princes" at the Tuileries Palace, delivered in June 1811, described: "service marli beau bleu, frise d'or capraire, fleurettes en mosaïque au milieu etc. "(Arch. Cité de la Céramique, Sèvres, registers Vy20, f°9 and Vu1, f°106).
Under the Restoration, it was used at Saint-Cloud (from 1820), Compiègne (1824), Fontainebleau (1827) and Rambouillet (1828).
Louis-Philippe collected a large number of pieces and decided to use them to service his official residence, the Tuileries, where most official meals and receptions were held. The first order was placed in a letter dated November 21, 1832 (762 pieces), but the King made one modification to the original service, as he did not want the sowing of gold flowers normally found in the middle of the plates (Arch. Cité de la Céramique, Sèvres, register Vtt3, f°175).
It was also always used at the Tuileries by Emperor Napoleon III.
The name of this service comes from the frieze of exotic leaves bearing this name, native to South America, close to tea, which goats are particularly fond of, hence the name capraire derived from the Latin caprinus (goat, billy goat).
2/ Soft-paste porcelain plate with slightly curved rim, the border decorated in two registers with friezes of blue and gold pearls on a white background, and white and gold pearls on a new blue background, the basin centered with a rosette decorated in suite, gold fillet on the rim. Good condition, traces of use.
Manufacture royale de porcelaine, 1788.
Mark with interlaced LL and letter-date LL for 1788 in blue; marks of the painters Jacques Fontaine (active from 1752 to 1802) or Melle Fontaine (active from 1777 to 1794), and Jean-Baptiste Tandart l'aîné (active from 1754 to 1800).
