Heavy cavalry troop saber (espada), inspired by the French An XIII saber.
Brass four-point hilt and short cap. Quillon with crowned "AR" square punch.
Brown leather buttstock.
Double-edged straight blade with wide flat center, signed and dated "Fa D Toledo 1859".
Tin sheath with two straps.
Blade length: 95.5 cm - Total length: 111.5 cm. Total: 111.5 cm.
As is. Wear and knocks, notably to the hilt and to the leather of the spindle. Guard to be reattached to blade tang. Old pitting and traces of oxidation on the blade. Corrosion on scabbard, blade slipping.
