FRANCE Two infantry regulation swords, model 1831, called "petit modèle": - one with cast brass hilt and 26-groove handle. Straight double-edged blade with two hollow double sides. Sewn black leather scabbard (torn, poor condition) with two brass fittings. Blade length: 43.3 cm - Total length: 57.5 cm. - one with cast brass guard, 26-groove handle. Straight, double-edged blade with two double-sided hollows and median groove. Marks on the heel. Blade length: 54.3 cm - Total length: 68 cm. Without scabbard. = As is. Wear, scratches and a few knocks; blades formerly pricked.
