FRANCE, Restoration (1815-1830) Manufacture Royale de Klingenthal. Light cavalry troop saber, model 1822. Three-pronged brass hilt. Short cap. Fusée sheathed in brown basane with braided brass filigree. Curved, single-edged blade with two hollow sides and flat back, signed "Manuf.ure R.ale de Klingenthal. Juin 1823" ending in a counter-edge. Marks on the heel. Iron scabbard with two bracelets. Guard and scabbard with the same serial number "1476". Blade length: 90.5cm - Total length: 110 cm. As is. Scratches and knocks, particularly on the hilt. Scabbard formerly pitted, cleaned.
