FRANCE, 20th century Gendarme d'Elite de la Garde, from the First Empire. Subject in plaster, papier-mâché with natural skin tone and cloth and metal clothing. Terrace in molded wood, painted green and black. H. 58.5 cm. As is. Some wear, notably to the face, soiling, damaged foot to be glued back in place, minor damage to the yellow silk, a few moth holes. Bicorne to be reattached.
