FRANCE, late 18th century Pocket watch. Pink (750) gold case decorated in yellow (750) gold with friezes of florets or foliate scrolls on the case middle and back, centered on an oval polychrome porcelain plate depicting the Good Samaritan. White enameled dial, hour markers with Roman numerals and black dashes and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Unsigned cock plate. Mechanical fusee and chain movement with key winding. Caseback with silversmith's initial: IFB. Gross weight: 101.8 g. - Diameter: 51 mm. Wear, scratches and some crushing; chips at keyhole; cracked porcelain plate and small chips.
