The tops of the 6-centimeter-thick solid-wood furniture range are assembled with false tongues in accordance with the rules of the art of carpenters, not joiners, emphasizing the joints to assert the construction.
The legs are positioned towards the center to avoid bumping knees at the end of the table.
To give the tops of the rectangular tables more momentum, Charlotte Perriand had a groove cut parallel to the edges of the long sides. The thickness and profile of the solid tops correspond to the shape and size of the palm of the hand; the inclination of the edges and the slightly rounded corners are intended to appeal to the "caress", Jacque Barsac.
For let's not forget that Charlotte Perriand once said: "You can caress wood, it's as soft as a woman's thighs".
