JAPAN, late 19th century Small katana. Tsuba mokko gata in openwork and blackened iron decorated with arrows. Signed. Handle sheathed in stingray and braided, with two gilded brass menuki depicting horses. Single-edged blade. Silk signed. Black lacquered wooden scabbard. Blade length: 45.4 cm - Total length: 72 cm. Kozuka missing; tsuba signature worn. A few scratches and bumps; chips and missing parts, notably at the end of the scabbard; oxidation.
