Attributed to Établissements E. KAHN & Cie, Paris. Chest of drawers with two drawers, no crossbeam, decorated with rosewood and foliate scroll inlays and framed in black-veined brown wood, resting on four arched legs. Moulded Breche d'Alep marble top. Rich bronze trim with rocaille decoration. Louis XV style, 20th century. 88 x 145 x 63 cm. Minor dents; a few small lifts and accidents to the veneer; shrinkage of the wood at the bottom of the drawers; scratches, a few chips and restoration to the marble. Based on a Louis XV commode in the Louvre [Inv. OA 5126]. Purchased in October 1932 from Établissements E. KAHN & Cie, Paris. A copy of the invoice will be given to the buyer.
