FRANCE, second half of the 18th century Moulded walnut chest of drawers with a crossbow front, opening with three drawers in three rows, fronts with butterfly-knot or quatrefoil-moulded reserves, resting on four scrolled legs, the two front jambs rounded with reserves. Low crosspieces cut into accolades. Molded wooden top. Gilded bronze trim, such as hanging handles with gadrooned rosettes and en suite keyways, one of which is turned upside down. Louis XV period. 92.5 x 140.5 x 61 cm. Scratches, bumps, dented parts, notably at the bottoms of cases and drawers, and some missing parts.
