SICILY, late 17th or early 18th century Saint Francis holding a crucifix. Sculpture in white alabaster with a partial patina and gold highlights, notably on the bure and the profile of the terrace. H. 26 cm. Missing halo. Wear, cracks, a few accidents and chips, restorations to the crucifix; terrace possibly restored. Hexagonal base in molded wood. Total height: 34.3 cm.
