FRANCE, fin du XVIIIème siècle Brown sea turtle shell (Chelonioidea spp) (pre-Convention) fly box, decorated with an oval miniature of a young boy with doves, set in yellow gold (750) with pearl friezes. The interior has three compartments and two small lids. Probably a later miniature. Gross weight: 53 g. - 2.5 x 6 x 6 cm. Miniature with refixing ring. Wear, scratches, a few chips and cracks. Hawksbill specimens of the pre-Convention marine turtle Chelonioidea spp (I/A), prior to June 1, 1947 and therefore in compliance with EC regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc. In the case of export, it is the responsibility of the future purchaser to check with the customs authorities of the country concerned, particularly the United States, prior to any purchase. To leave the European Union, a CITES re-export permit is required, at the expense of the future buyer.
