Trapezoidal travel case in blue-grey agate veneer on a black painted background with a yellow gold (750) frame molded at the opening and with a rocaille decoration cut, openwork and applied, punctuated with flowers. Hinged lid, with bélière, protecting a pair of steel sewing scissors with pink gold rings (585) and a folding cutlery with molded rings and blade or fork in pink gold (585) and handles decorated with white mother-of-pearl plates, with medallions in navette (blank). Push button adorned with a round faceted ruby. No hallmark. About 1760-1770 for the case. The case mount is repunched with an owl. Rose gold parts of the accessories repunched to the E.T. (low title). Probably modification of the contents of the case, with readjustment of the mounting. Case, Gross weight : 75.3 g. - H. : 10.8 cm. Accessories, total gross weight: 37.4 g. - Length of cutlery: 12.7 or 12.9 cm. The lid is slightly warped; small soldering between the neck and the rocaille pattern, and to the pattern around the push-button; small gold tear at the entry of the spring blade in the lid. A few scratches and cracks with small chips to the mother-of-pearl plates.
