The goddess Diana is identifiable by her attributes: the crescent moon and her bow; she is placed on an entablature between two figures. The tapestry has kept its beautiful bright colors and its border decorated with foliage and shells. The lateral borders are against the grain. It presents wear in the silks and old restorations. It has been reduced in height. Provenance : Sale Me Etienne Ader, Palais Galliera, 31 March 1962, lot 159.
