* Oblong ivory (Elephantidae spp) cigarette case (pre-Convention), smooth, decorated with two bands of yellow gold (750) with black enamel decoration of waves punctuated with spikes. Two side buttons, with white stone cabochons (moonstone or opals?), allowing to slide an inner yellow gold (750) frame to present the cigarettes with a hinged lid with a flower backsplash. Numbered 4304. Eagle head and goldsmiths' hallmarks. Circa 1925. Gross weight : 105 g. - Size : 9 x 6 cm. Some cracks and small chips to the ivory, wear and chips to the enamel, play above the lower band. The company Strauss, Allard et Meyer was founded in 1919 and dissolved in 1941, at 19 rue Louis le Grand, Paris (2nd). It was an important workshop, subcontractor for major brands (Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels, Boucheron, Janesich, Lacloche Frères...).
