L.A.S. "Pellisson Fontanier", July 23, 1674, to Pierre-Daniel HUET "sous precepteur de Monsieur le Dauphin"; 1 page in-8, addressed with broken red wax seal (engraved portrait enclosed). On the election to the French Academy of Huet, who did not want to be one. "Console yourself if you can sir, all your friends missed you, and except one who is not me, not one wanted to exclude you from the Academy; you are nominated with a great consent. I beg your pardon if I let myself be carried away by the torrent like the others, although no one is more yours than I am. A small P.A.S. concerning a judgment is attached.
