" Victor " from Victor HUGO to his friend Alexandre Guiraud, Wednesday 8 [January 1823] (1 p. in-8, address). Charming invitation to a "literary party" during which Guiraud is to read his tragedy Le Comte Julien ou l'expiation. L.A.S. from Adèle Hugo to the same, December 21 [1839] (1 p. in-8, adr.). "My husband, who often takes me as his secretary, an office I am glad to have near him at the moment, charges me to tell you that he is very eager to spend and talk with you... L.A.S. "La Vicomtesse Victor Hugo", to a lady (1 p. in-8), apologizing, for her and her husband, for not being able to come to her invitation. L.A.S. from Eugène HUGO to Alexandre Guiraud, September 28 [1822] (1 p. in-12, adr.), apologizing for not being able to honor a dinner invitation. L.A.S. from Richard LESCLIDE as V.
