Barometer mercury thermometer with a rosewood body and a terminal Graduation of the temperature in Fahrenheit or Réaumur. Cylindrical tank in brass. H. approx. : 93 cm. Scratches; crack and old restoration on the reverse side with brass plate of consolidation; accidents and lacks to the tube and the tank. Rosewood (genus Dalbergia spp, family Fabaceae) This pre-Convention specimen having undergone a mechanical destructuration by cutting, polishing, or turning is listed in Appendix II of the Washington Convention (CITES), since January 2, 2017, and in Appendix B of the EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996. For a possible export, it will be up to the successful bidder to inquire - prior to any purchase of this lot - with the customs of the country concerned, particularly if it is the United States. For a departure from the EU, a CITES re-export will be necessary, this one being at the charge of the future buyer.
