A brass and tortoise shell (Chelonioidea spp) (pre-Convention) marquetry liquor cabinet with a red background decorated with scrolls, and a cartouche numbered A.B. on the lid, containing four decanters and fifteen stemmed glasses made of colorless crystal decorated with gilded fillets and semi stars. Varnished brown wood veneer interior. Basket with gilt bronze frame. Second Empire period. 27 x 32 x 24 cm. Without key. The lid does not stay open. Damage and missing parts to the marquetry and the basket; wear to the gilding, chips to the crystal pieces, chip to the neck of a carafe. One glass missing.
