PIEMONT, début du XIXème siècle,
A pair of fruitwood armchairs with a slightly curved banded back resting on two tapered legs at the front and sabre-shaped at the back. The armrests are carved with ram's horn heads and have a patina. On the inside of the rear belt, label with the mention "Proprieta Csa Giulia OLDOFREDI SEYSSEL". Antique trim straps. Inspired by the French Directoire style. H. 91 cm - Width : 56.5 cm - Depth : 54 cm. Wear to the patina, some scratches, accidents and restorations, notably to the backs and armrests. In 1873, Giulia OLDOFREDI TADINI (1846-1894) married Artemo de SEYSSEL (1835-1911), 14th Marquis of AIX, Marquis of Sommariva del Bosco, Captain in the regiment of the lancers of Montebello and aide-de-camp of General Count Maurice de Soimaz, during the campaigns of 1859 and 1860, lived at the castle of Sommariva.
