Hussar saber, model An IV, Revolutionary period and following. Brass hilt with a branch, a quillon with facetted ball, with two stretched auricles. Mark "B" surmounted by a phrygian bonnet for F. Bisch. Wooden spindle covered with leather. Slightly curved blade with one edge, a large side engraved "Rép[ublique]" and "Fran[çai]se", and flat back marked KLINGENTHAL. Hallmark "B" surmounted by a phrygian cap, on the heel. Scabbard in sheet brass decorated with nets, with cut out and darkened black leather, with two rings. Iron sting. Blade length : 81 cm - Total length : 98 cm. Top of the scabbard to be reholstered. Scratches; play to the branch; shocks, in particular to the blade and to the scabbard; wear and small lacks, in particular to the leathers.
