Les oeuvres de Pierre de Ronsard gentil-homme vandomois. Augmentées de plusieurs poésies de l'auteur qui n'estoyents en la précédente édition. Lyon, Thomas Soubron, 1592, 5 vols. in-12, 12 ff. - 6711 pp. -12 ff. - 495 pp. - 4 ff. - 429 pp. poorly chif. 424 - 190 pp. 1 f. - 164 pp. - 1 f. - 1 bl. f. - 260 pp. - 2 f. - 256 pp. - 405 pp. - 1 f., red morocco, plate in the style of Du Seuil, smooth spine, decorated with fleur-de-lis, gilt tr. (bindings rebacked). Eighth collective edition, the second posthumous and the second to last published in the 16th century. It was based on Buon's edition of 1587 and has been enlarged with several unpublished pieces. It includes 5 identical portraits of Ronsard, a portrait of Charles IX and one of Henri III. A frontispiece portrait has been added to volume I in the reprint. This edition is a very rare complete of 5 volumes. Restoration to the title, a restored portrait and qq; marginal tears on pp. 229 to 240 in volume V, qq. restorations to the spines and qq. mq. to the coif. of volumes II and V. A few scattered freckles and a few pages trimmed a little short. Brunet 1375. Tear with lack on pp.366 volume III.
