Mantelpiece In finely chased and gilded bronze, midnight blue patinated metal and onyx comprising: - A clock symbolizing the Dawn, in the guise of a small Zephyr holding a torch, lifting the drapery that covers the Night, a celestial sphere placed on clouds. At his feet, two defeated and dejected Lovers are looking at him. Serpentine hands. Movement with spiral balance, with the mark "MB" of the house MILLET. Circular base (chips). Operation not verified, without guarantee. H. : 27,5 cm. - A pair of candelabras with two lights, representing two Lovers sitting on celestial spheres, holding a branch of roses signed "MILLET à Paris". Circular base. H. 28 cm - W. 17 cm Louis XVI style, end of the XIXth century. The House of Millet, active from 1853 to 1918, famous manufacturer of furniture and art bronzes, gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1889, one of the suppliers of the Linke house.
