CHIMNEY HANDLE In patinated and gilt bronze and porphyry. The clock case, with enamel dial by "Hry DASSON", is carried at arm's length by a kneeling putto, after DROZ. The candelabras, in the shape of a bouquet of flowers with three bins, are held by standing putti. Truncated column bases, on straight bases signed and dated on the back "Henry DASSON, 1880". Louis XVI style, late 19th century. H. clock : 58 cm. H. candelabra: 55 cm. Functioning not verified, without guarantee. Henry Dasson (1825-1896), bronze and cabinet maker, active from 1871 to 1894. The child of the clock: after Jules Antoine Droz, 1807- 1872 (cf. Tardy, La Pendule Française, 1969, 2nd part, p. 396, on a clock by Bréguet). Expert : BOISBAUDRY du Loic
