Gilt bronze and painted enamel box, decorated with genre scenes in the Renaissance style and wooded landscapes, the cover plate signed L. COBLENTZ. Inside lined with burgundy velvet. End of the 19th century. H. 17,5 cm. - L. : 28,5 cm. - D. 20 cm. Damaged velvet lining. Lévy Coblentz (Lunéville, 1828-1900), enameller, living in rue des Lilas, in Paris; he works for the workshops of Limoges. He presented at the Universal Exhibition of 1900: boxes, vases, candy boxes, triptychs and paintings. His son Jules was also an enameller. Expert : BOISBAUDRY du Loic
