City of Marseille. Photographic album of old streets demolished in 1862, for the opening of the Rue Impériale. Album totaling 26 prints on albumen paper from collodion glass negatives, mounted on cardboard, caption, date and photographer's credit printed on the mounts: Rue foie de boeuf (2), rue des festons rouges, rue belle table, rue du Cheval blanc, rue de Lorette (2), rue des Trompeurs, rue des Soleillets, rue des Caves de l'Oratoire, rue Fontaine de la Samaritaine, rue des Sept Maisons, rue des Grandes Maries, rue de la Calandre rue Trou de Moustier, rue de la Treille, rue Lit de Gavaux, rue Fontaine Ste Claude, rue étroite, Tombeau trouvé dans l'ancienne chapelle de l'observance, rue Embouquier, rue Fonderie Neuve, rue des Gavottes, rue des Icardins, rue des Grands Carmes, rue des Isnards. 23 to 25 x 18 to 19 cm. Insolated boards, foxing, staining, small tears. Rubbing, a few stains, a few tiny losses to the corners of the prints. Plates collected in a folio volume, bound in mauve percaline (scratched, worn and stained). A print of the Docks and Warehouses of Marseilles is enclosed (tear).
