PIERROT MEN - Lot 80
PIERROT MEN Photograph entitled "Ambalavao Madagascar", signed & collection of photographs by the artist: 1/ Photography: Originally from the south-east coast of Madagascar, Pierrot Men opened his first photographic laboratory at the age of 20. Artist in the soul, his true passion is painting, photography being only the support allowing him to reproduce on canvas what he captured with his eyes. But according to his friends, he is more gifted for the instantaneous image than for pictorial art. He chooses to depict all the richness of his Big Island by capturing moments, situations, settings, landscapes... Each one of his photographs is a painting that lives, breathes, calls us to the depths of ourselves. Pierrot Men's work is an open book on Madagascar and nothing escapes his sharp eye, at the same time tender, modest and captive, which observes this world with wonder, humility and discretion to exhale all its greatness. It is the authenticity and the very essence of his country, it is also the soul of a whole people who express themselves in his work, which has been rewarded many times and whose talent can be appreciated in numerous exhibitions. https://www.pierrotmen.com/. Original print "Ambalavao Madagascar" (unframed, signature of the author, on dibond, format 90 x 60 cm, with hanging system). 2/ Book : The humanism and sensitivity of Pierrot Men also illuminate each of the 80 photographs in this collection made in partnership with the association ZAZAKELY SAMBATRA. Extremely attentive to the actions developed by local NGOs for the Malagasy youth, he decided to commit himself alongside the association in favour of the right to education for the children of Madagascar, the privileged protagonists of his photography. "I met the Zazakely Sambatra association and I was impressed by their determination to act on a large scale for a systemic change in the country". Caring and clear-sighted, Pierrot Men puts his expertise and work at the service of the associa
