An exceptional Magnum of Clos d'Ora 2018 : Iconic wine of the House, presented in an exceptional bottle, the Clos d'Ora has all the characteristics of a grand cru. Its vineyard extends over 9 hectares located in the heart of the Minervois, on 2 specific terroirs composed of limestone, sandstone and marl. Its vines are cultivated biodynamically, respecting the environment, with the ancestral technique of the horse and the mule which creates a natural connection between the mineral, the plant, the animal and the human. The work of vinification and maturing is carried out according to a particular process and rhythm. The rigorous and orderly blending of old Carignan, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes gives this wine its truly exceptional character. Its brilliant deep ruby colour, its powerful and elegant character, reveals a remarkable amplitude and length in the mouth, supported by intense aromas of black fruits and subtle, melted tannins. The Clos d'Ora is the masterpiece of the House of Gérard Bertrand, a mythical wine that the Master of the house called from his prayers (Ora means prayer in Latin) and which has become the first Grand Cru classé of the Languedoc.
