Partly openwork metal element forming a small shovel at one end and a point at the other. Label with inscription "Tattoo knife and hairdressing instrument of the Nzakara, Ubangi, 1939. Gift: Vergiat." Maurice Vergiat, born in 1900, a soldier and photographer, travelled to Africa. He published "Les rites secrets des primitifs de l'Oubangui" [The Secret Rites of the Primitives of Oubangui] with Payot in 1936. You can reach OCEANIE Ornamental ring in white shell decorated with braided links, dyed red. Label with ink inscription "...tty islands (Oceania)".
