A mantel set in patinated bronze and black marble comprising: - a clock, the rectangular base decorated with a frieze of scrolls and mascarons, resting on four lion paws, topped with an allegory of the Oracle signed Mathurin Moreau and dated 1870 on a corner of the terrace. Round dial applied on a quadrangular bas-relief with a motif of laurel branches, with Roman numeral hour markers, the centre adorned with a floral frieze. Splinters and lacks at the corners. Patina wear. Number XII and one hand missing. - A pair of candelabra in the shape of Athenian quadripods, with seven arms of light, the central light supported by a seated sphinx resting on four lion's paws. Neo-Antique style, second half of the 19th century. Size of base and statue: 76 x 52 x 24 cm. - Height of the candelabra: 88 cm. Wear and oxidation to the patina, shocks to the arms of the lights, one of which is damaged and needs to be refixed.
