Pair of poly-lobed silver-plated copper plate warmers with ribbed decoration, with two leafy sockets and resting on four claw feet with rocker clamps. The belly is underlined by a frieze of gadroons and openwork of stars and triangles. Removable trays to the shape. Alliance arms of the families of TALLEYRANDPERRIGORD and LE PELETIER de MORTEFONTAINE, under a marquis's crown, shouldered by a mermaid and a heraldic unicorn, on a water terrace underlined by a motto "Re Que Diou". Hallmark and goldsmith's signature: ODIOT in Paris, with the indication "Doublé 10" and "Garnitre Arg". Height: 9.8 cm. - Total width: 33 and 33.5 cm. Without burners. Wear, scratches, some shocks and splits on the edges. The arms of alliance could correspond to those of Viscount Louis-Marie de TALLEYRAND-PERIGORD (1810-1881) and Stéphanie-Marie de POMEREU (1819-1855), after their marriage in 1839. Gules three lions Or armed, lampassed and crowned Azure. Azure, on a chevron Argent between three apples Or, stemmed and leaved Or, two in chief and one in base. However, on the second blazon, there are not three apples but three flowers, and a central cross, absent from the blazon of Pomereu.
