Large planter forming the centrepiece of a silver table (950) with a four-lobed basin adorned with grainy reserves and a frieze of interlacing gadrooned and floral motifs, on a pedestal underlined by a frieze of ovules. The long sides are centred with applied Silene masks. The lateral, double holds with grotesque masks and horn of plenty attachments. Minerva and goldsmith hallmarks: Georges BOIN and signature BOIN TABURET in Paris. N° 77675. Circa 1873-1900. Lining in silver plated metal with two movable rings. Net weight (without lining): 5.620 g. Total length: 52 cm. - Width: 30 cm. Shocks, scratches and wear, especially on the lining.
