ITALIE (?), seconde moitié du XVIIème ou début du XVIIIème siècle
Silver (min. 800) two-spouted incense dish with embossed decoration of winged cherubs and garlands of fruit, on foot. Tripartite top, with two lids decorated with a heart-shaped mirror cartouche, hinged. Grips in the shape of standing angels, praying. Rectangular fixed plate decorated with foliage and fluted frieze. Later soldered brass fretwork. Shaft with foliage and shoulder decorated with a shuttle. Circular base decorated with leaves and stylized fruits. No apparent hallmarks. Metal plate added and welded to the bottom of the shuttle, in reinforcement. Gross weight : 391 g. - 17.7 x 16.7 cm. Numerous welds and crushes; old restored tears, with contributions, in particular at the bottom of the shuttle, at the attachment to the shaft, at the hinges and at the lids.
