- Philippe-Paul, comte de SÉGUR (1780-1873) general and historian. Autograph manuscript; 4 pages in-fol.
Working manuscript, heavily crossed out and corrected, for the first chapter of Book III of his Campagne de Russie, on Napoleon at Dresden.
- Charles-Maurice de TALLEYRAND (1754-1838). L.S., Paris 26 nivose XIII (January 16, 1805), to Édouard BIGNON, Minister Plenipotentiary in Hesse-Cassel; 1 page and a quarter in-fol. with vignette and letterhead Le Ministre des Relations extérieures, addressed with postmark.
He refuses the requested increase in salary, and will seize "the first opportunity to improve your situation. You know that it does not depend on me to grant extraordinary gratuities. S.M.I. made some provisions of this kind for Year 12, in which she did not think she should include you"...
