FRANCE, last third of the 18th century Pocket watch in pink (750) gold decorated with pastilles and falling roses in several shades of (750) gold. White enameled dial, signed "L'EPAUTE à Paris", black hour markers with Roman numerals for the hours, and scale and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Hands punctuated with Rhinestones. Fusee and chain movement. Spiral under cock. Lock signed "L'Epaute à Paris". The back is adorned with an oval miniature of a young woman in bust form, surrounded by a translucent green enamel ribbon and a bow and wreath of flowers, paved with Rhinestones. The caseback is marked T.F. Gross weight: 63.3 g. - Diameter: 39 mm. Wear and scratches, notably to the miniature; small stones missing; incipient cracks at the edge of the dial.
