Attributed to Jean-Etienne LALLIE (1739-1799) Portrait of Jean-Joseph, Marquis de Laborde (1724-1794) holding a bill. The bill is inscribed "Je prie Mr. Rousseau de donner au porteur la somme de dix mille livres et suis son [...]iteur. August 24 (?) 1768. Laborde." Pastel. 66.5 x 55 cm. Some folds. Paper detachment in the lower half. Accident with hole at the top. Blackened and gilded wood and plaster frame with beaded frieze. A few missing pieces. Provenance : Sale A.
