Onion watch with two cases.
First case in plain silver (min. 800).
Goldsmith's monogram "I.M." under crown.
Second case in silver plate (min. 800) with repoussé decoration of the Judgment of Solomon in a cartouche bordered by flowers and flowering vases.
White enameled dial, black painted hour-markers, with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes.
Gilt fusee and chain movement. Openwork scrolled pillars. Turntable signed and numbered 334. Cock with window for the false balance, adorned with a cherub and the inscription "Un seul me suffit".
Reassembled from the reverse.
Repoinçonnée au Sanglier.
Gross weight: 124.3 g. - Diam. first box: 46 mm. - Diam. second box: 53 mm.
Wear, particularly to the decorations, scratches and dents, especially to the first case; scratches and cracks, with chips to the dial.
Two metal watch chains and a brass key stamped with a scale are included.

Cornelis UYTERWEER (1702-1782), was one of the most influential Dutch watchmakers of his time. He was head of the Rotterdam Guild from 1749 to 1769.
