ROMAN ART, 1st-2nd century High relief, part of a pillar, depicting a helmeted charioteer. Goat's horns protrude from the helmet, framing a fine fine crest. He is wearing a scaled cuirass. The eyes were inlaid. Yellow cipolin marble. H. 19.7 cm. Chips and missing parts, including the eyes. Provenance: Former collection of Alain GRENIER (1930-2022).
