ANGLETERRE, Jam FREGENT, London, seconde moitié du XVIIIème siècle Pocket watch with cockerel and striking mechanism. Two silver (min. 800) gilt boxes, openwork with foliage; the second with a cartouche engraved with a head or a landscape. White enamelled dial, hour markers with Roman numerals for the hours, dots and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Chain and fusee movement, with push-piece winding at 12 o'clock, gilt plate signed "Jams Fregent, London, 1055", with rose-cut diamond in the center of the cock. Gilded metal dust cover signed "1055, Jams Fregent, Leicester Square, London". Goldsmith's hallmark for the large box: P.M. Total gross weight: 114.6 g. Watch diameter: 40 mm - Second case diameter: 48 mm Wear, scratches and a few knocks; dial chips and missing parts; lid with glass, warped, no longer closing; some oxidation.
