Paris, Magimel, Anselin et Pochard, 1817, 4 parts in 1 vol. Bound in grained red Russian leather, boards decorated and gilded with the coat of arms of Louis-Antoine de BOURBON (1775-1844), frieze of palmettes and fleurs-de-lis and fillets. Spine titled, with crossbord of leaves and fleurons. Some wear, notably to spine. Stains, brown spots. Tears and hole. Eldest son of Charles X, Duc d'Angoulème, appointed Colonel General of the Cuirassiers and Grand Admiral of France [anchors] on his return from immigration in 1814. Louis-Antoine de BOURBON was dauphin of France from 1824 until the Revolution of 1830, when he resigned his rights to the Crown and went into exile with his father and his wife, his cousin Marie-Thérèse, daughter of Louis XVI, and died in Goritz.
