A silver (950) tulip-shaped kettledrum with a bowl engraved on two registers with a frieze of foliate lambrequins and a frieze of stylized leaves forming cut-out geometric cartouches decorated with palmettes, fleurons and florets, on grained counter-bottoms, and resting on a gadrooned pedestal. The neck is underlined with fillets. Goldsmith's hallmark, incomplete: P.?.A. PARIS, poinçons de Décharge [horse] des moyens ouvrages pour 1732-1738. Later engraved coat of arms under marquis crown and collar of order and initials "F.N". Weight : 160 g. - H.: 10.2 cm. Wear, some scratches and bumps.
