Brass one-branch guard, overhanging plate and openwork shell with foliage, scrolled quillon and horn spindle.
Straight blade with rounded back engraved "Mre d'Armes de Chtt Mai 1888 Adt d'Infrie Mle 1845", with one groove, one hollow side and one edge.
Steel scabbard with a strap.
Punches of control and number of matricule.
Blade length : 77 cm - Total length : 91 cm.
Watermark missing; stains and oxidation and corrosion points, especially on the scabbard, with shocks and crushing near the stinger.
