Officer's sword, model 1788 simplified Mounted in gilded brass with a single-branch guard, two chamfered quillons and a symmetrical lyre plate with a gadrooned ring. Pommel with armet with grid and plume and laurel crown. Watermarked wooden spindle. Straight blade with flat back, a wide hollow section and one, then two edges, formerly blued and gilded in the first third with engraved trophies. Heel marked S.B. Blade length : cm - Total length : cm. Without scabbard. Scratches; worn blade with oxidation.
