Breath of the four breaths. Tokyo, Santo Sho-in, October 25, 1926. First edition of these four sentences about the four seasons of Japan. Paul Claudel's writing is reproduced on the left half of four pieces of paper from Japan cut in the shape of a fan. The right half of each fan is occupied by a composition of Keissen Tomita engraved on wood by Bonkotsu Igami and printed in colors. Edition at 300 copies of which 30 are reserved for France. This one, n° 182 (n° 12 of the thirty), bears the seal engraved on porcelain by Taïun Yamamoto and the signature of P. Claudel. Important stains, folds, foxing, small tears and missing cover.
