Silver bottle (925) inverted baluster with flat bottom, double bottom for hot water, accessible by a small lid on hinge at the shoulder. Circular molded lid with fretel in pine cone torso. Long sinuous spout. The body and the lid engraved with a crest in the profile of a Moor on a tortil with the motto "Gang Forward". Wooden handle, formerly stained. Worn silversmith's mark: W.[B?]. LONDON, 1854-1855 [t]. Gross weight : 349 g. - H.: 16.2 cm. Some scratches from use; oxidation. This crest, with this motto, is found above the coat of arms of the STIRLING of KEIR family.
