Small tripod silver chocolate pot (950) with a plain baluster body, a molded neck and a ringed spout with a small hinged lid. Circular molded lid, hinged with a scroll, and fretel on a swivel pad. The side handle is made of turned blackened wood, possibly added (?). The body engraved later with a medallion on a background of a cross (of Malta?), with a collar of the order of Malta and under a count's crown. Goldsmith's mark [I.D.B.] : Jean DEBRIE, received Master in Paris in 1725 and died in 1758. PARIS hallmarks of Jurande [R] for 1757, and of grosse Charge [A] and of petite Décharge [coquille] for 1756-1762. Net weight : 325 g. - H. : 16.1 cm. Scratches and small shocks from use.
