Tripod inkwell in bronze of circular form with friezes of laurel leaves and ivy. The base circled with water leaves. Includes three removable circular tanks with openwork lid with leaf motif and two places for the pens. The central grip is in the form of a mat on which a snake is coiled, topped by the portrait of Pythagoras in a medallion. Rests on clawed feet. The inscription engraved in Greek reads: The wisdom of Pythagoras. H. 32 cm. - Diameter : 16,2 cm. Empire period, first third of the 19th century. Misses in particular probably the linings of the covers of the tanks, play in the assemblies. Restoration to the mast.
