Tea and coffee set (4 pieces) in silver (950) gilt, on a circular frame, decorated with turning gadroons and large cut leaves, consisting of a teapot, a coffee pot, a creamer and a sugar bowl, figured J.E.G. Molded and openworked handles, some with bone insulators. Lids, those of the pourers on hinges, decorated in suite, with turned fretels. Spouts in trompe on the teapot or with flutes, gadroons and latticework, with foliated finial, on the coffee pot. Minerve and goldsmith's hallmarks, with signature. Probably from the period of Jean-Baptiste-Gustave ODIOT, director of the company between 1856 and 1894. Total gross weight (pourers) : 2,346 g. - H. : 19 or 23,5 cm - Total net weight (creamer and sugar bowl) : 1,307 g. - H. 10,3 or 18,8 cm. Wear to the gilding; scratches and some shocks of use; closing of the lid of the sugar bowl to be re-examined; cracked insulators, and partially missing and glued on the coffee pot.
