Icon of Our Lady of Kazan. Tempera on wood panel. Oklad formed from a plain and polished white silver plate (84 zoltnik, 875/min. 800), with openwork for the faces and hands, decorated with drapery in solid silver (84 zoltnik, 875/min. 800) gilded, in applied bas-relief and plain gilded angle iron. The nimbus in silver (84 zoltnik, 875/min. 800) and polychrome cloisonné enamel. Goldsmith's mark in Cyrillic: B.K. probably for Vasily KUBALYEV, active in Moscow between 1907 and 1917. MOSCOW. Net weight : 468 g. - 22,5 x 17,5 cm. Icon : some wears, lacks and small holes. Oklad: some scratches and bumps; wear to the gilding; bas-relief of the drapery and nimbus to be reattached to the back plate (three missing fasteners); wear and missing enamels of the nimbus.
